Effective July 26, 2026 · launch draft

Privacy, without surprises.

This product-ready draft reflects the planned launch architecture and should receive legal review before public registration opens.

What we collect

Account records include username, email, display name, password credentials managed by Amazon Cognito, age confirmation, preferences, and account status. Community records include reviews, visit dates, reviewer-reported prices, traits, photos, likes, comments, reports, suggestions, and moderation history.

Location

Search coordinates are used to return nearby results. Device location is requested only after you choose “Use my current location.” Email and precise personal location are never displayed on public profiles. Public venue coordinates remain visible because they describe businesses, not a person’s home.

Photos and safety checks

Uploads enter a private quarantine area. We validate file signatures, scan for malicious or unsafe content, remove EXIF and GPS metadata, create optimized derivatives, and publish only approved versions. Originals do not become public.

How information is used

We use data to operate discovery and social features, protect the community, prevent abuse, calculate scores and rewards, deliver requested email, correct venue information, and understand product reliability. We do not offer paid ranking in version one.

Service providers and retention

The planned production service uses AWS for identity, databases, storage, security, monitoring, and email, plus OpenFreeMap map tiles and OpenStreetMap data for location features. Retention is limited by operational, fraud-prevention, audit, legal, and backup needs.

Your choices

You can edit your display name, control social email categories, request an account export, and request deletion. Deletion removes or de-identifies public content unless we must retain a limited record for safety, legal, or audit reasons. Contact [email protected].
